This fabulous 1869 hunt crop is in immaculate, original condition. This hunt crop is worthy of any museum or personal sporting collection. The large, elaborate, sterling cuff is engraved, “Geo. J. Taylor, Newport, I.W.”, (“Isle of Wight”). The Birmingham silversmith is “W.G.F.” or “W.C.F.” - the hallmarks are worn with age. The 4” staghorn hook is cross hatched on top & below. The woven shaft is straight, true and has absolutely no blemishes. The loop end keeper and threading are also original. It measures 28” long (32” w keeper). This is an exceptional find.
