This small vintage sandwich box is in very good vintage condition. It probably dates from 1950-1960’s. The leather, stitching & straps are all in good shape. It measures 5 1/4” x 3 1/2” x 1 1/2”. It is chamois lined.
The double hinged sandwich box has a pull ring and is made by James Dixon & Sons, although the maker’s stamp is obscured by a ding on the back side and significant corrosion of the silver plate on the inside, just at the very center. However, you can still see the Dixon trademark bugle & banner.
There is a bit of corrosion on the very bottom edge of the back side of the box, but otherwise it is in good shape.
This is an excellent buy for a quality case.
