This antique Bassett hound, cast metal inkwell has a lovely patina to its dark oil rubbed bronze finish. The crouching Bassett is realistically portrayed on the hinged cap. The original glass insert is missing, so it can't be used to hold ink. None the less, it would be a wonderful paper weight, catch all, or merely a mantel/table decoration for a Bassett enthusiast. The inkwell is solid & well constructed, approximately 4.5"x4.5".
