This is a lovely early 1900’s era horse shoe inkwell & pen stand. The vibrant, cobalt blue inkwell is in impeccable condition. The hinged, solid brass top fits securely to remain airtight & prevent spills. The pen rest is fashioned from 2 small horse shoes, all of which show nails in the “Lucky Seven” pattern popular in the 19th c and early 20th c. It is EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) which shows some wear to the silver plate consistent w age & use. It is signed by maker, “H & H” which is Hukin & Heath.
This would be a great gift for the desk, library or office table of a horse lover or one who appreciates sporting decor. Approximately 5.5” x 6”. Inkwell is 1.75” x 1.75” x 1.75”.
