This wonderful late 1800’s - early 1900’s carved, dog head walking stick has a beautiful, caramel colored, knobby wood shaft with a wonderful patina. It measures 34” from the tapered end to the top of the dog’s head, which looks like a spaniel. The dog is realistically carved, with glass eyes and a detailed, gold metal collar (untested). This is a lovely, unique piece that any dog lover, sporting enthusiast or cane collector can appreciate. Note: Like most walking sticks, this one was originally designed as a fashion accoutrement. This one is light enough it could be a showing cane. It was never meant to be a weight bearing cane. Using it for that purpose is not recommended.
