This lovely 18 kt gold shod hoof is 3/4” x 3/4”. It is in very good antique condition, with just a very small gap in the back right seam. The shoe has the Lucky Seven nail pattern. The hoof is complete with heel & frog.
It closes with a simple C clasp that is secure so long as the bars of the shoe are pointing down. It will be less secure if you break with 19th c tradition and wear the shoe pointing up, as this will face the C clasp in the wrong direction. This is a fabulous piece for a horse lover, as the details are quite precise and delicate. Would be a great pin for a dressage rider.
