A huntsman & his hounds are depicted in beautiful detail in traditional colors on this beautiful old fruitwood, decoupage box. The box measures 5”x 1 3/4” x 3 1/3”, is well made, but light weight. The laquer has the golden patina of age and there are small chips and marks of wear consistent w the age of this piece, probably circa 1930-1960. We think this adds to the overall charm of this unique little box. After all, if you were looking for mass produced, perfectly new items, you probably wouldn’t be shopping this site, right?
