This case is made of beautifully embossed brass depicting a man on a galloping horse. He may be a steeplechase rider or a fox hunter. You decide.
Although there is a striker on the bottom end of this case, it is bigger than what is typical for a vesta case. Perhaps it was made more recently as a decorative cigarette lighter case. At any rate, although we cannot accurately date this item, it is nonetheless a beautiful case. The top fits snugly, so it can safely hold toothpicks, matches, stamps, paperclips or pills or any other small items. This case measures 3” x 1 1/2” x 1/4”.
