A hunting horn, completely detailed just like the real thing, makes for a striking stock pin, with class. This beautiful old pin is made of a pale, rose gold (marked 9 kt) with a silver mouthpiece and a silver rim on the bell of the horn. The stock pin is 2” long and the stick pin is about 1 1/2” long.
As you can see from the second photo, the stick pin is bent, but it closes quite securely to the wire C clasp. Also, the horn has a slight bend to it & tiny ding, just like, I suspect, your huntsman’s horn has! These imperfections are not in the least noticeable when the pin is affixed to a stock, and are consistent with age and use. We have accounted for the pin’s imperfections in its price, which would have been $350, if in perfect condition. While this pin is not hallmarked, we estimate its age as between 1930-1960.
