Stamped on the neck of this old brass shot or powder flask is the date it was patented: Sept 24, 1872. The sides have split some and the shot gauge no longer turns, but the brass is beautifully fluted and makes a great conversation piece or desk item. This would make a great gift for most any hunter, but especially for a history buff or a patent lawyer. It is 8” long x 3” wide x 2”.
