Braided Sterling wire was a popular method of creating a decorative silver cuff/collars on foxhunting whips & walking sticks made during the late 19th & early 20th c. This braided wire style ring (this ring is actually cast) evokes that same look in a modern band. This ring is approx a size 7 and appropriate for either a man or a woman. Its exact age is unknown, but it is probably a late 20th c piece as it is stamped "925 (Sterling) & NF" (nickel free).
