Mid 1800's "diamond" (paste or Antique faux diamond) Sterling horse shoe brooch. This approximately 1.25" pin looks equally elegant on fur or denim.
This brooch attaches with a long pin and "C" shaped, simple clasp. The pin extends beyond the edge of the brooch which is how pins were made at the time. The pin can be shortened by your jeweler, if you desire, but we have left it in original, antique condition. Please be mindful when you take it on & off.
Like other horse shoe jewelry made in this era, this pin was designed to wear "upside down", so that the "luck" would "spill over" the wearer. However, it can be worn either up or down, as you wish. The silver is hand crafted, solid & has a beautiful patina.
