This fabulous hunt crop has a 3” sterling clad hook end w a rolled “collar”. Probably American, it has 2 illegible maker’s marks on the hook. We estimate its age to be between 1890-1940.
The grip is made of absolutely stunning, stitched, croc leather, with a glowing patina. The grip tapers into a second sterling collar.
The 21” shaft is fruitwood and measures just under 1/2” wide. The shaft looks like cherry, is lightweight, keeled and sits perfectly balanced in your palm. We have shortened this crop to a more modern length and added a *new stitched, keyhole keeper. It is ready to go back into action for hacking or the hunt field.
