Dating circa 1916-1935 (date letter is worn), this beautiful hunt crop is in near perfect collector’s condition. It has a sterling clad hook end signed by Jonathan Howell of London (J Howell & Co, Ltd) and is hallmarked. The silver hook end shines with a lovely patina, but is nonetheless sturdy enough to hold close a gate.

The lightweight, wooden shaft is perfectly straight and balanced. It is small - perfect for a lady who prefers a smaller whip - only 1/2” wide and 18” long. The leather keeper appears to be original and is in very good shape for leather of its age. The neatly braided binding is in perfect shape. Overall, this is a fabulous crop that has both collector’s value and can also be enjoyed in the field.
