This tiny item was most certainly originally meant to be a child’s toy, but for obvious reasons (tiny parts, possibly lead and/or lead paint?) is not suitable for a young child by today’s standards. It can be fully appreciated by an older child or would make a nice desk accessory for an adult. It might make a perfect gift for any Anglophile still obsessing over the Royal Nuptials.
Royal Wedding! This tiny antique golden Royal Carriage is drawn by a team of 8 perfectly matched white horses. The rider/driver is removable and the team can unhitch. It is painted iron (or lead?) and measures a mere 6 1/2” long & 1 1/4” high. We estimate its age to be between 1900-1940. It is in very good antique condition.
