The pin is marked 14 kt on the clasp. It is stamped, “Tiffany & Co” in tiny letters located on the back of the whip & underneath the pin, near its hinge. The whip measures 2 3/8” long and the stick pin is 1 3/4” long. The pin clasp has a locking mechanism which was the precursor to the modern “C” rolling safety catch. There are no date marks, but my educated guess is circa 1920-1940. This lovely item can be used as a stock pin or as a regular wardrobe embellishment.
This pretty stock pin has many tiny, realistic details, as you would expect from Tiffany & Co. The hook has been made to look like real stag horn & the keeper has stitching detail.
