The decorative part of the pin is 2” long, but the stickpin is only 1 1/2”. The original hinge pin must have been lost and some enterprising person replaced it with a tiny wire that seems to be holding it all together quite nicely, so we have left it as it. If you would prefer it fixed professionally, this can be done for an additional $20.
This lovely crystal & whip stockpin is a quality, earlier version of the mass produced, similar pins from the 1960’s-1970’s. You can tell the age from the quality of the crystal (very good for a costume quality crystal), the solid and simple design of the whip pin and the wide, simple C closure. The silver whip has a lovely patina that only comes from age.
