This large (1 1/8" x 2 1/8") pin looks beautiful on a white stock. But it is equally attractive on a scarf, sweater or jacket lapel.
It would be the perfect stock pin to compliment your shadbelly in a hunter classic or derby, or in the dressage ring, where the pin's sparkling beauty would be best appreciated. If you choose to wear it hunting, be sure to carry a regular bandage pin in your your pocket. You certainly don't want to use this rare & equisite antique in the event your horse cuts his leg & you need to use your stock as a bandage!
This brooch closes w a base metal pin & simple "C" shaped gold clasp, which was typical for brooches of this era. This item is in near perfect condition for its age, but as you would expect, shows some minor signs of use, consistent with that expected for any estate piece.
